Are you looking for some fun things to do with the family in Winchester this Easter school holidays? We’ve put together a few different activities that you’ll find in and around Winchester, some of which are free and include chocolate (and you can never have enough of that at Easter!). The Golden Egg Hunt at The Brooks
Visit The Brooks Shopping Centre between April 9th and 18th to take part in The Golden Egg Hunt. Find all five hidden golden eggs around the shopping centre and win yourself tasty treat!
Visit The Entertainer or The Works in The Brooks to pick up one of our trail sheets (don’t forget to bring a pen). Once you’ve found all 5 golden eggs and circled them on the map. Once you’ve completed your trail sheet, return to The Entertainer or The Works and collect your treat. Don’t forget to fill in your details on the back, as you’ll be entered into our competition to win a tasty Easter Cadbury’s hamper.

Winchester Science Centre and Planetarium 

Join the Planet Protectors as they uncover the impact of fashion on our climate in a brand new free science show. Let’s explore the carbon cycle of clothes. Uncover the world of alternative fuels. And of course there’ll be epic demos, including the return of the explosive hydrogen balloons.

Zoom into orbit in two amazing Planetarium shows. Uncover the secrets of the planets in Atmospheres, an exciting live show. Head off on a tour of the icy landscapes of the Solar System in Ice Worlds, an impressive film that will leave your mind racing! Find out more on their website here.

Winchester BID Bunnyhop
This Easter and during the school holidays, Winchester BID are organising a free and fun-filled, Easter-themed trail for kids and big kids alike. The Bunny Hop Easter Trail will run from Saturday 9 April to Sunday 24 April 2022. Grab a trail sheet from  the Visitor Information Centre, The Arc or Winchester City Museum. Using the map from the trail sheet, hop around the beautiful historic streets of Winchester and search for all nine Easter-themed words.
Once you have found all nine words, return your completed trail sheet to any of these three locations – Visitor Information Centre, The Arc or the Winchester City Museum, to then redeem an Easter-themed treat and be entered into the prize draw to win an Easter-inspired hamper, filled with lots of great gifts!

Marwell Zoo – BRICKOSAURS! Evolution

Marwell Zoo will unveil a world-first event featuring an all-new collection of 55 dinosaur sculptures this Spring.

BRICKOSAURS! Evolution showcases over 20 species made using more than 2 million toy bricks and will leave you in awe as you embark on an immersive adventure through the zoo.

Visitors will go back in time and come face to face with amazing pre-historic creatures such as the incredible seven-metre-long Spinosaurus, a nodding Heterodontosaurus, and many more. Find out more on their website here.
